Online gambling is not only perfectly legal, but is also regulated by a range of laws aimed to protect casino visitors. The main legal act that has been regulating the gambling industry in United Kingdom since 2005 is the Gambling Act.

The Gambling Act, which is currently in force in Great Britain, provides more support to casino clients instead of the establishments themselves. It’s also not allowed to advertise gambling to minors.
It’s also worth mentioning that the law aims to protect underage and individuals with gambling addictions. This is the reason why many casinos offer protection to such clients by offering them to set daily limit, to stop the blow-off game play. Even more so, the industry is bound to to invest £3 million into research on gambling addiction and methods of curing it.
