Other things discussed below will help you learn to play Backgammon while having fun at the same time.

Objective of the Game

To play Backgammon, you’ll need a board, a doubling cube, a dice cup for each of the players, a pair of dice and 15 checkers of one colour each. The objective here is that the two players have to keep moving all their 15 checkers one by one on the board as per the rolls of the dice, which is nothing but luck. That said, it certainly needs skills to bring in one of their own checkers home. In the process they should block and hit the checkers of the opponent.

Backgammon Rules

When it comes to rules, Backgammon is one of the simplest online casino games. There are 24 triangles that are grouped in 4 areas of 6 triangles each. The outer and inner tables are usually separated by the bars. Two important points to consider now is setting up the game’s board and paying attention to direction of movement.

You should place your checkers on the board and play with colour of your two checkers against your opponent. When it comes to movement, the checkers are always moved in opposite directions on a U-shaped path. The checkers move from the inner table of the opponent, come to the outer tables and finally come home to your inner table, then they go off board.

Moving the Checkers Around

If you are learning rules for Backgammon, one of the important things to learn is how to move your checkers. Both dices are rolled at the same time, and the players get their turns. The rolled pips constitute two different moves that can be executed with either a single or a couple of checkers. Some of these simple rules and a little practice can make you a good Backgammon player, who can compete with other players even when big money is at stake. Remember that you must start betting real money, only once you got the hang of the game rather than burning your cash away right from the start.
