Blocking Casino Websites In Singapore

According to the report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Singapore, this week the law on regulation of remote spread of gambling content came into force. It is said that about 100 resources within Singapore network have already ceased operations. MIA officials explained that while the list of web sites will be on the review, this information is not to be revealed to the public.

'We are directly working with providers to daily monitor the Internet and identify new sites. We also consider each case as an individual one to ensure the legality of blocking,' an unknown official said.

It must be noted that gambling was prohibited by the Singapore government. In addition, there's strict control of people willing to spend time at a casino. If a person is caught while playing online, he will pay 5,000 SGD fine or will be put into prison for up to 6 months.
