Online Gambling To Be Legalised In Portugal In 2014

The Government of Portugal confirmed the news that online gambling will soon be legalised in Portugal: according to the source, this is due to happen in 2014.

Paulo Portas, a government official, confirmed that all legal measures to regulate the market will become laws at the beginning of the next year, and that the estimated profits from the measure has already been included into the budget for 2014.

As many European countries, Portugal is gripped by economical crisis. European Central Bank has already lent the country billions of Euros, so the country could do with additional income from online gambling.

It's thought that the taxes for online gambling firms will range between 20 to 25%, which is a regular tax fee in other European countries.
