A 3% tax on all cash-back transactions has not been the only change in PartyPoker’s policy. As a result of the largest update in the last five years, the biggest online Poker casino will soon morph into a diverse social network for Poker enthusiasts.
Those of us who have not visited their webpage for a while, are in for quite a surprise, as everything (including the architecture of the webpage, and the design) has been updated. The main colour palette has been changed to white and orange vs the old green and black design. The amount of visuals that diluted attention, such as banners and design details, has been reduced, which together with a simplified structure that is more intuitive, is definitely an advantage.
However, the main event for fans of playing online Poker together with friends has been the introduction of new social functions. Activity tracker that allows you to see what your friends have been up to is one of these. In addition, there're achievements that could be obtained by completing missions and activities, and each mission will have a corresponding progress tree. There'll also be a range of closed missions, and in order to start these you will need to complete certain requirements, unlike in some MMORPGs.
The update is already live, and the updated client for Windows and OSX (which is about 70 Mb in size) is available for downloading from the Poker room webpage. The mobile client has also been updated for Android and iOS users.
