Not that long ago Ladbrokes, one of the largest and well-known casinos, which is listed on the stock exchange, has published its annual results. According to the document, the company’s profits have fallen by 34% if compared to same period last year. Casino’s representatives attribute such a rapid drop in profits to several factors, such as unusually high percentage of wins and an increase of free bets.
However, the management team at Ladbrokes remains calm: according to all forecasts, the situation is supposed to change for the better soon. Spring was particularly profitable for Ladbroke’s clients, with an unusual growth in number of winnings by 5%.
A drop in profits at eGaming is also to blame: first four months resulted in a 2% drop, which is unusual as the total number of players have increased. Cheltenham has showed the worst results of the lot, and expert’s views are that bookie’s coefficients and Poker are the two weakest links in the company's strategy.
Ladbrokes has instantly reacted to the news about profitability, and started searching for a solution. As soon as the first signs of a drop in profits have appeared, the company decided to change all software to Microgaming suite. This resulted in a constant growth in the number of active players up to 14%. The number of new registrations has also grown and exceeds last year by 10%.
