Hawaiian politicians intend to give permission to install slot machines in the airport halls in Hawaii. All gambling enthusiasts will be able to spend their time playing, when their flight is suddenly postponed. The project will eventually work similarly to Duty Free. That is, the passenger has to prove that he has reached the age of 21 years and also provide a document (ticket), confirming a flight outside the States within 12 hours.
The state will be able to replenish the budget regularly - 86% of net profit from airport fees, salaries and winnings, or a minimum payment, the amount of which exceeds the profit anyway. Some of these funds are reinvested to improve airports. The law is expected to officially come into force on the 1st of July this year. And now it's being considered by the members of the US Congress.
