According to the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau analytics, the gamblers' activity in Macau casinos decreased significantly. Last year the specialists claimed that the visitors' activity will not fall below 45%. But the profitability of gaming business fell to 48.6%, and this is the worst result in history. In its turn, the largest international news agency, Reuters, reports how the situation continues to deteriorate within 9 consequitive months.
Last year same time period gave a revenue of about 38 billion patacas. In 2015 the casinos earned only 19.5 billion. It's connected not only with the Chinese economy shrinking, but also with the tough measures taken in order to close down illegal establishments. In particular, the police of Hunan province has recently detained 19 people involved in the organisation of online casinos. Gambling is considered to be an illegal activity in China.
