The administration of Golden Nugget Casino located in Atlantic city has filed a lawsuit against 14 players, which obliges them to return 1.5 million dollars. The demand is made on the basis of arising doubt about the honesty of winning. Representatives of the gambling establishment claim that the deck of cards for mini-Baccarat was poorly mixed, and that contributed to such enormous luck. As soon as the gamblers understood the principle, an inexplicable series of wins followed (41 hand consecutively in favour of the players).
The court found out that poor shuffling of cards by the dealer is a direct violation and doesn't correspond the accepted law about gambling. So, 'the lucky ones' undertake to return the money in full, taking into account the chips that have not yet been replaced with real money. Tom Pollman, general manager of the Golden Nugget, said that the casino was satisfied and considered the decision to be fair. In its turn, the casino will return the money, which the gamblers spent to make their bets.
