Unibet Has Stopped Its Operations In Russia

Unibet, an online entertainment portal, which has an online casino and a sports betting service, has stopped working in Russia. The reason for it wasthe tightening of the existing legislation, which specifically bans gambling, including online casinos. Many Internet providers have blocked online casino web pages, and Unibet was one of those.

So, now new players from Russia will not be able to register and create an account with Unibet, however, company reps promised that Russian players with existing accounts will be able to use service normally. This decision will not influence any players from other CIS countries.

Unibet is not the first company to leave the Russian market: previously Betclic (sports betting web page with a small collection of gambling games) decided to do the same.
